We certainly don't want you to be in the dark about that. 

If your invoice was paid by card, you should receive a notification from the Wise app as well as an email confirmation that your invoice has been paid. 

Otherwise, you can always view the transaction in the Wise app by going into your contact database and selecting the contact who is paying you. When you do, you'll see a list of transactions between you and that person along with the current status.
